Award-winning indie musical duo, Boy Blu, features Cajun, Cherokee, and Irish-American drummer and singer-songwriter, Lisa Blu, and Irish singer-songwriter, producer, and renowned guitarist and bassist, Seán O’Connor.

The pair met via mutual contacts in the music industry when Lisa needed a guitarist for a few demo recordings in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they initially worked virtually to combine their talents and life-long passion for music into their own eclectic mix of rock, blues, pop, and soul. The band is known for their original music, as well as cover songs, many of which are requested by their 130,000+ followers on TikTok.

Lisa and Seán are also making the rounds, doing interviews with indie music sites, podcasts, and radio stations, and they host their own Facebook and TikTok Live broadcasts. Boy Blu has been featured in the You Haven’t Heard This Music Podcast; Music, Technology & Videos Rock; Bootleg Magazine; Phoenix FM; and were interviewed by Kerry Hawk Lessard for the Saint Patrick’s Day Virtual Music Festival. Their cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Bad Moon Rising won a Toby Award in 2022 from the UK’s Shout Radio.

Boy Blu’s debut single, a power ballad called Misty Blu, was released in October 2020 — and a new version, Misty Blu (Sundown), was released in 2023. Their third single, All You Never Say, debuted on U.S. southeast radio station, 104.7 KISS FM in 2021. Boy Blu’s first album, The Transatlantic Chronicles, arrived in October 2023. A mix of their original music and a few covers, the album has seven tracks. They look forward to playing for live audiences in the coming year.
